Cookie Policy
Cookies, browser storage and optional-service choices on BookCoverDesign.ai
Scope
This policy describes cookies and similar browser storage used by BookCoverDesign.ai at bookcoverdesign.ai. Some storage supports requested features, security or preferences; acquisition storage and optional third-party services have separate rules. Our Privacy Policy explains related personal information processing.
Storage and duration
- Session and security storage supports sign-in and protects the service. Its lifetime depends on the session and security function.
- The optional-services preference cookie remembers an explicit acceptance or refusal for up to 180 days. Local storage can also retain that preference until cleared.
- Signed first-party marketing and affiliate attribution cookies can last up to 30 days. They contain an anonymous identifier and the relevant campaign or affiliate information. Raw advertising click identifiers are not stored in these cookies.
- Product preferences can remember language, appearance or workspace settings. Browser-local preferences remain until replaced or cleared unless the feature sets an expiry.
Server-side acquisition records operate in every region independently of the optional-services choice. Marketing browser attribution storage is suppressed before acceptance in the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland and unknown regions, and cleared on refusal. Elsewhere it follows the regional default unless you refuse. First-party affiliate storage operates separately from that choice and GPC. Removing a browser copy does not erase attribution already recorded with an account, checkout or order.
Optional third-party services
Only configured services apply; these may include analytics, support chat and referral integrations.
- In the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland and unknown regions, these services wait for an affirmative choice.
- Elsewhere they may load by default unless you refuse or GPC blocks them.
- Refusing or withdrawing permission stops optional third-party services in every region. In consent-gated regions, the explicit site choice controls loading even when GPC is enabled.
- Same-origin, self-hosted, cookieless aggregate measurement can operate outside this gate. This does not authorize external analytics scripts.
The optional-services card is shown only when a service subject to that choice is configured and the regional or stored-choice rules call for it.
Managing storage and choices
Use Cookie settings, where available in the public footer or account security settings, to reopen the choice and change it. Refusing optional services does not stop server-side acquisition or remove existing server records. GPC is applied to optional-service loading as described above; it does not delete first-party records.
You can also clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser. Blocking session or preference storage may affect sign-in and requested features. Clearing your preference may cause the choice to appear again.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy when storage or service configuration changes. The date above identifies this version. For questions, email [email protected] or use our contact page. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
